New Construmat

Beyond Building Barcelona, this is the new way to name the expo Construmat 2015 at Barcelona.
The past wednesday 17th september, Arquimund was at the presentation of the international salon of the construction in Fira de Barcelona.
Due to the delicated situation of the sector, the organization of Construmat wants to make a step forward and become a more important platform to power the activity. Beyond being just an exhibition of new technologies, technics and works made, this year Construmat will have the firm intention to connect the world, to be an international hub between the places in the world with job oportunities and the professionals who are looking for a jobs.
The participation during the presentation of Gonzalo Bernardos (Doctor in economy and teacher at UB) showed the lines to be followed by the sector to recover its health but in a more sustainable way. The rehabilitation and the sustainability must be the main chance for the inmediate future but the more important is to recover the public construction.
Also participating in this event, the main secretary of the Ministry of Territory and Sustainability of the Government of Catalonia, Pau Villòria, explained that, despite the complicated moment of the economy, the Goverments of Catalonia and Spain have the clear intention to invest again in public construction as soon as they can because they understand that this is an important key for the sector.
Not as bad news as we usually listened at the last years for the architecture, engineering and construction in this presentation which invites to look forward.
